Fundoshi Rehash 9 - Brown Voile Three Ways - Part 3

One final filter and one final edit process on this set of fundoshi leftovers from  here and here.

And for part three, I added another monochrome filter in the mix and set it at a green to offset the purple-pinky color. I then performed some judicious masking to have only my skin show in the green color. This set seems very Andy Warholish to me.

We take the last blog one step further!
For this set of 100 leftover photos from the shoot originally seen here and hereI simply added 1 more filter to the stack.

Fundoshi Rehash 9 - Brown Voile Three Ways - Part 1

For the next set of ʻrehashʻ photos, I am in one of my favorite fundoshi. This one is made of brown gauze and the design was made from soaking a twisted length of fabric in bleach, then laying it on top of the fundoshi. Iʻve used the technique a couple of times now.

There were over 100 leftover photos from the shoot originally seen here and here. For the next blog entries, each one will build upon the last as far as post-production is concerned. Below is the original as seen in the previous blogs mentioned above.

I first adjusted the temperature of the lighting to make it a little cooler.

Then, the saturation was turned down, making the colors less vibrant.

I know it is hard to tell, but I then increased the shadows a bit, making them lighter, so more detail comes through.

I added some vignette filters to darken then edges a bit.

And then, I used the curves adjustment to play quite a bit with the tone, giving it a blow-out look for the lighting.  I like the graphical nature of this set of adjustments. In the next 2 blogs, I take it even further!

Fundoshi Rehash 8 - Purple Voile

For today's fundoshi rehash, I jumped out of Aperture and into Photoshop. Since purchasing Aperture, I haven't used Photoshop that much for cleanup and manipulation, so it was a bit of fun investigating the filters and effects that were available.

For this set of photos from the purple voile fundoshi shoot previously seen at Fundoshi of Purple Voile....and a Brand New Design! and Fundoshi of Purple Voile....and a Brand New Design! Part Two, I selected a filter called Glowing Edges. Here is what happens by applying the filter.

Once the filter is applied, I changed the light type to 'Overlay' and turned the opacity of the filter down to about 38%, leaving the following.

I think it gives this photo a bit of a 3D quality with more 'mood'. For other photos that were a bit darker, you can see the effect more.
