Fundoshi Rehash 47 - Burgundy Gauze Take 3

For these extra photos from the burgundy gauze fundoshi up-close session (originally seen here), I took a round-about path to a desired result. I'm sure there was a simpler way to accomplish the same thing, but here goes....

From the starting point above, I went to a deep black and white and sharpened the image quite a bit. I also upped the contrast, though it is hard to tell at this point.

I then took out about 65% of the black and white filter. Part of the reason for the filter was to get a certain tonal quality before my intended 'final product'.

And here it is below. Using the base color of the fundoshi, I applied a monochrome filter and kept it at about 50%, giving a deep pink tone to the photo.

Fundoshi Rehash 46 - Purple Gauze Take 3

The third 'take' on this fundoshi shoot using the purple gauze. For this set of surplus photos, I went in a cooler direction than how the photos originally turned out. As a reminder, you can see the original set here

The original can be seen above to the right. The first bit of trickery I did was to warm up the white balance a bit, leaving the photo to the right.

Next up was to increase the contrast, saturation and vibrancy, which pumped up the colors quite a bit.

For the final bit of wizardry, I sharpened it up a bit and added a polarization filter, leaving the results below.

Fundoshi Rehash 45 - Black Lawn Take 3

For this final set of extra fundoshi photos using the plain black lawn material, I decided to take it lighter. You can refresh your memory with the original shoot here.  The first set of rehashed photos where I turned them black and white can be found here.

Below is a reminder of how the photos looked with minimal processing.

The first thing I did was to add a blur around the edge of the photos.

Then, I added a vignette. Normally, I add a darker vignette. As you can tell below, for this set, I added a lighter one to match the bright nature of the photos.

Fundoshi Rehash 49 - Lavender Voile Take Two

The original shoot for this set of extra fundoshi photos was done in very minimal lighting. You may recall the set here
fundoshi rokushaku
Even though the originals are a bit dark and moody, I wanted to push it just a little further. I played a bit with the exposure and contrast.

Then I darkened the look a bit more and sharpened it up. Pushing the darkness further made the photos more abstract, but that wasn't what I was after, so I stopped here.
