2019 Hotel Series - White Voile Fundoshi - White on White - Black and White 1

In this set from the white on white voile fundoshi shoot, I went for a deep black and white look. I played with the mid-tones a bit to keep the fundoshi the whitest part of the photos. This worked better in some photos than others, as you will see.

2019 Hotel Series - Brown Voile Fundoshi - Dusked 1

This treatment of the shoot wearing a brown voile fundoshi went to a place between the light of the exposed exterior and the dark of the room. I used settings that keep the focus sharp, but softened the over-all look of the photo. If you've been following, you will have seen this approach before, though this is the first time I played with it along with a darker look.

2019 Hotel Series - Black Voile Fundoshi - The Bed Shoot - Opal 1

For this take cavorting on a bed in a black voile fundoshi, I was trying to bring out some subtle colors. To be quite honest, I can't remember what I did to achieve this and since the editing software I'm using is new to me, I accidentally deleted the edit settings, so can't back-track to figure it out. I do like how they came out.

Part of the grey voile fundoshi 'stripping' shoot set of photos. For this set, I went for a black and white, high contrast look. If I remember correctly, I played a bunch with the red channel to achieve the final look.

2019 Hotel Series - White Voile Fundoshi - Wet Pearl 1

So see-through fundoshi this is. When wet, white disappears. So much for my yoda-speak! I wanted a version of this shoot to be as white and placid as it could be and think I hit upon a good look here. A combination of updating the white balance, exposure and a filter called Orton got me to where I wanted this to go.

2019 Hotel Series - Purple Voile Fundoshi - The Bed Shoot - Harsh 1

For the second take of this purple voile fundoshi, posing on the hotel room bed, I decided to go quite hard and harsh with the approach during post-production. I increased the black point in the photos and increased the contrast quite a bit to achieve this look.

2019 Hotel Series - White Voile Fundoshi - White on White - Iced 1

I often equate blues with winter. For this take in a white fundoshi, I played a bunch with the light balance to bring out the cool tones of blue. It worked better for shots where I was positioned further from the camera. I also paid attention to keeping some orange tones in the flesh, just to ensure a good color balance.
