Khaki Cheesecloth Fundoshi - The Last Design

I now come to the end of the khaki cheesecloth designs. Based on odd statistics here and on tumblr, this fabric has proven to be one of your favorites!

Could it be the sheerness of the fabric that delights you? I will say that this is one reason I enjoy wearing this particular fundoshi. And if you have been following my tumblr posts, you are aware of what happens when this fabric gets wet!

Seeing as how I donʻt have any of this fabric left, I did a series of shoots in this last design. Coming up in the next couple of months, there is the normal ʻput it on, take it offʻ blogs (like this one).

I also prepared an artsy-fartsy type shoot I think you will enjoy.

And I did a fun take on a ʻstrippingʻ shoot.

Grey Sunburst - A New Fundoshi Design

I get particular enjoyment when a design I have in my head actually works when I try to put it into physical form. This new design worked just as my imagination pictured it.

I used a cookie cutter for the circles. Instead of just using the cutter to create the outline, I covered it in material so the discharge solution would be applied to the entire area. I varied the pressure a bit so each ʻstampʻ would have its own character. I then used a small brush for the rays.

You can see this is also a new color. This is a grey 100% cotton voile.

It has a slight sheer nature, but not too revealing.

I like the subtle difference in colors the bleaching turned this.

For the shoot, I used my white vinyl backdrop. For the series of shots I took during this studio session, I played a little more with post-production techniques. Iʻm trying to learn a bit more of what is available to me outside of the camera. For this series, I pushed the exposure a bit, lowered the saturation, but bumped up some vibrancy.

Gauze Fundoshi - A Good Use of White - Part Three

I donʻt often have a three part fundoshi photo shoot, but I am so taken by the glassy effect in this series, I had to keep going.

Remember, this is the fundoshi with a slight amount of color.

Iʻll just stay out of the rest of this and enjoy.....

Black Voile Fundoshi - The White Shoot - Part Two

Fundoshi in black voile - light and breezy - so nice and sheer.

To start off, some posing that I havenʻt tried yet. I only wish I set up the camera for a better angle.

Yes, Iʻm doing some odd things with my legs in the air.

Fundoshi of Purple Gauze - Part Two - the ʻhotʻ shoot….

The ʻhotʻ story goes something like this......

I was minding my own business, taking photos in my studio (okay - it really is my living room with everything turned topsy-turvy for space).

Since I wanted this shoot to have light, it is during the daytime. Unfortunately, it is unseasonably hot outside.Due to the heat of mother nature, combined with the heat of the photography lights, I had to cool down. I grabbed a spray bottle and just wet myself.
fundoshi rokushaku
So the ʻhotʻ Iʻve referred to is really about the temperature.....
fundoshi rokushaku
Of course, I didnʻt think any of you would mind if my body was dripping wet....

You know the drill...keep going for more....
